     In a time when boutiques were unheard of in San Diego and especially Carmel Valley, and locals were in dire need of some fashion guidance and convenient shopping, Tobi Blatt had big plans for herself and her community. After moving to San Diego in 1993, and having always fostered a passion for fashion, Tobi decided to put her skills to good use when she began designing the blueprints to her empire. Thankfully, she had an arsenal of knowledge to back up her plans, ranging from real work experience, to her family upbringing. Her father, Joe Heiferman, was the manufacturer for Monet Costume Jewelry. Joe relied on his little girl as a trend watcher. She visited high end stores and accessory shops all over Los Angeles and was always observing to see what people liked and what made them feel good. Meanwhile, Tobi’s mother, Annabelle Heiferman, in her early career was the senior buyer for a chain of department stores. She later became mayor of Beverly Hills and a fashion icon for women striving for success in Los Angeles.

     Only a year before her store opened, Tobi began her solo adventure into retail in her own home. Labels like A.B.S., Michael Stars, and Tarina Tarantino had faith in Tobi from the start, and helped launch her empire over ten years ago.
     In 1997, the doors to Carmel Valley’s first resident clothing boutique opened under the retail guru’s namesake. Bringing in some of the worlds best brands into a newborn boutique isn’t the easiest of tasks, however Tobi had relationships a storeowner could only dream of building one day. Her retail experience dated back to when she was 15 and after years of hard work and long hours, went on to work in the buying office for the likes of Fred Segal, Madison L.A. and Camp Beverly Hills.

     Now, almost twelve years later, Tobi Blatt is a household name that represents quality, cutting edge fashion, and customized styling services with a Southern California touch.
